Nicky Garner

Nicky Garner first undertook an MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman clinic and then trained as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with The North of England Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists. She is registered to practice with the British Psychoanalytic Council and is a member of the Scottish Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists. She has over seventeen years’ experience of providing psychoanalytic assessment and therapy to patients with a broad range of psychological and emotional difficulties. She is trained to provide open-ended, long-term therapy, as well as time-limited, short-term therapy, depending on a person’s needs. She worked in the Regional Psychotherapy Service in the NHS for over eleven years and now has her own private practice helping adults with a variety of issues and concerns.
